Last week, Activision wrapped up its current Call of Duty release schedule by announcing the ultimate map pack DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. With that out of how, the publisher is now focusing its attention on its next-generation title, Call of Duty: Ghosts.
As promised earlier this week, a brand new trailer showing off the multiplayer gameplay in Ghosts was released. As with the unique reveal of Ghosts during Microsoft’s Xbox One announcement conference, military dogs are once more heavily featured. Unsurprisingly, the multiplayer gameplay in Ghosts seems to be largely akin to previous Call of Duty titles. New mechanics along with leaning around corners and sliding also are shown in action.
One new twist revealed within the video is the hot Search and Rescue multiplayer mode. The competitive mode could have players drop dog tags as they die, and teammates should collect those self same tags to restore players. Enemies, however, can take dog tags to forestall players at the other team from respawning.
A mode called Cranked, new weapons, and feminine soldiers also are previewed within the trailer, which incorporates a pretty intense Eminem song:
